2006 Thunder Bay Baseball Expansion Draft
Expansion Draft Rules:  Expansion team draft order 4-1, 1-4, etc… until each team selects 5 additional players.   Once a player is taken from an existing team, other expansion teams cannot draft from the existing team until the next round.  Each existing team will lose one player in round 2.  When an expansion team selects a player from an existing team’s roster, existing team pulls back (protects) 2 additional players.  After Expansion Round 2, existing teams have 17 players, expansion teams 10 players.  Each expansion round should take no longer than 48 hours.  Teams announce which players they wish to pull back within 24 hours of completion of expansion round via email or post on message board (recommended).  See the complete expansion rules here if you have any questions.
