The Colorado Gladiators are looking for their 2nd World Series Championship and are facing off with a familiar foe in the Mad City Paddlers.  Fancy use of the pen has gotten Colorado to the show and ace Jake Arrietta's arm might be falling off.  He has 3 more starts to go then can rest all winter.

The Paddlers are perhaps the toughest overall team in the National League and are extremely well balanced with starting pitching, power hitting and speed and defense.  Mike Trout is the best player in the NL and Jose Altuve might be the wildcard for the entire series.  Bumgarner, Scherzer and Quintana will be very tough to beat in a 7 game series.
Prediction:  Mad City in 7 games (Wrong!)

Who knows, part deux?

The Colorado Gladiators take down the Paddlers in the final series, with a surprise sweep,  to take our second TBBL title

Game 1:  Gladiators 5-1 in 13  Innings, in a game that was scoreless through 11, Crush Davis gave us the lead with a bomb in the 12th, Iglesias tied in the 12th, and Espinoza cracked open in the 13th. Great game.

Game two: Glads win 4-1 on a monster, three run jack by super-lefty-killer Enrique Hernandez in the 8th Inning, proving he wasn't just the "other piece" in the deal to snag Arrieta from the Barons that was made just over a year ago. Hahn and Lackey had a great duel through 7.

Back to Coors, the Glads strep on the Pads necks with a first inning Crush Davis homer, and a Brandon Crawford blast in the 6th to send Mad Max to the showers, and making a 4-3 game a 6-3 game. Huge hit by Craw, and a huge win 7-4 Glads final

Game 4: Going for the sweep to end a long, long season the Glads get it,  breaking open a 2-0 game with 6 run 5th, highlighted by the 3rd Chris Davis bomb of this short series. Glads cruise to a 13-4 win

Joe Blanton finishes the game out, and the Gladiators and their manager can finally rest. No more games to play! Andres Blanco was HUGE in the finale, going 4-4, and knocking in 4, a monster game for another role player.

Thanks to Scott Lewis and the Paddlers for always having a great team, and having a great year. Chris Davis is the MVP of the series.

Great League, had a great time playing! Thanks everyone! See y'all next year! ⚾🍻☝, Casey
