would be based on 2009 rosters using salary data within the disk.
Was I ever surprised at the

outcome of the report below! My lowly
team, projected to finish last or next to last in the pre season sim which will
be published on February 17, 2009 was the MOST EXPENSIVE TEAM in the league.
See the table to the right for complete team salary lists.
The most expensive
player on Jersey is Jason Giambi ($23,429,000) with 5 additional players making
$12.5M or more (Ortiz, Sheffield, Dunn, Matsui and Glaus). Alex Rodriguez
of the Los Angeles Halos is the highest paid player at $28.0m, accounting for
nearly thirty percent of the teams total. The Mad City Paddlers are second
in the league with a team salary of $153,554,000 with their highest paid player
being Manny Ramirez ($18.9M) and Andy Pettitte ($16.0M). Ironically, both
players were recently acquired from New Jersey who's payroll would have been
over $200M if not for the trade.
Last year's champion,
the Carefree Coyotes come in just under $100M at $99,873,000. Their
highest paid player is Richie Sexson (yes Sexson) who is at $15.5M. The
lowest payroll belongs to the California Volcanoes with the Fort Wayne Komets
close behind.
