It's another champagne
celebration for the Panthers!
*Game 3 was a comeback in the 8th inning. You had a 4-1 lead
thanks to Livan stranding runners left and right then my
guys broke loose for 5. Mariano and Guardado stayed on the
bench which had the media speculating that they were hurt.
*Game 4 my guys had a 4-run first off David Wells and that
pretty much held up. *Game 5 was another pitchers'
duel between Harden and Santana. Johan gave up one in the
1st and then my guys picked up and insurance run in the 8th.
Other than that I was watching lots of strikeouts. Final out
was Damon Hollins chasing down a long fly to center with the
tying run on 1st base.
NLCS MVP should go to Jhonny Peralta (1-10-.500...knocked
the first run in Game 5). Honorable mentions should go to
Harden on my side and Guerrero and Nick Johnson from the
Halos.
Contrary to real life A-Rod hit well but he was thrown out
in Game 5 trying to go from 1st to 3rd on a single when I
was up 1-0, prompting a long chant of "AAAAAA-ROOOOD" from
the hometown crowd.
Seriously though, it was really fun and I wish we could have
done this head-to-head - although I'm barely awake after
having to cover the Cory Lidle story all night. |
